Match category before translation
Use the exact model and commercial contents first, not a literal translation of a marketing name. Bathroom tissue may appear as papier hygiénique, facial tissue as papier mouchoir and kitchen towel as essuie-tout. Those categories remain distinct even when both pages simply use the word paper.
Preserve seller and maker codes
For the selected seller records, preserve TP-B031, FT-F950 and KT-K250 alongside manufacturer models B031, F950 and K250. The prefixes are retailer identifiers, not extra plies or a different sheet count. Compare case count, inner count and colour before deciding that two language pages describe one selected offer.
Translation does not supply evidence
The guide provides English-Canadian and French-Canadian pages for the same20 questions. Translation does not supply missing maker evidence. If a current source body cannot be read in either language, the source finder still shows that limitation rather than treating the other language’s search excerpt as a replacement.
Clarify any changed identifier
When a label or seller response uses a different code, ask for clarification before transferring price or technical claims. No automatic language-based compatibility or regional equivalence is offered. The received product, not the smoothness of a translation, is the final object to identify.
Sources and limits
Current maker bodies unreadable and PDF routes failed. Retailer bodies read; exact supplied brand, current certification and independent material/content review pending.
